1. The app-store licence: Apple's Standard EULA

Famivana is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your licence to use the app is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). These terms add Famivana-specific rules on top of it; if the two conflict on the licence itself, the Standard EULA prevails.

2. What Famivana is — and is not

Famivana helps family caregivers organize and share care information about a person they care for. It records what you enter; it does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice, and it is not a medical device.

• Not for emergencies. If someone needs urgent help, contact emergency services. Famivana is not monitored and cannot summon help.
• You decide. Reminders, schedules, summaries and any AI-assisted text are organizational aids. Decisions about medication, appointments and care remain yours and your clinicians'.
• AI assistance is a draft. Where available, AI features run on your device and produce text for you to review. AI output can be incomplete or wrong; it is never written into a care record or acted on without your explicit confirmation, and it must not replace professional advice.

3. Your responsibilities

• Accuracy and authority. You are responsible for the information you enter, and you confirm you are entitled to record and share it, including any consent the person being cared for (or their representative) must give.
• Sharing. When you invite someone to a family circle or grant them access to a care recipient, you decide what they can see and do. Choose access levels carefully; you are responsible for whom you invite.
• Account security. Keep your Apple, Google or email sign-in secure. Sign out on shared devices. Tell us using the contact email below if you believe your account was accessed without permission.
• Acceptable use. Do not use Famivana to store information you have no right to hold, to harass or monitor anyone without consent, to attempt to access other families' data, to interfere with the service, or for any unlawful purpose.

4. Family circles, access and Premium

• A family circle has owners and members. Access to a care recipient's records is granted per person and per recipient by that recipient's managers; an owner does not automatically see health records.
• Some connected features — inviting caregivers, family tasks, and cloud sync for a family circle — require that the family circle is covered by an active Premium subscription that one of its members has assigned to it. A personal subscription unlocks the app's own Premium features for you; covering a family circle is a separate, explicit choice you make in the app, and one subscription covers one family circle at a time.
• If a family circle's Premium coverage ends, existing records stay readable to those who already have access; the Premium-only actions above pause until coverage is restored.

5. Subscriptions and billing

• Premium is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through the Apple App Store. Apple handles all billing, receipts, refunds and payment details; we never see your payment information.
• The price and renewal period are shown in the app and in the App Store before you buy.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings, or from the "Manage Subscription" action in the app.
• Cancelling stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• "Restore Purchases" in the app restores an existing subscription on a device signed into the same Apple ID.
• Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.
• Deleting your Famivana account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it in your Apple ID settings if you no longer want it.

6. Your data and privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we process and why, including how account deletion works and what shared care data remains for other family members.

Using Famivana without an account keeps your data on your device only. Your on-device data is excluded from device backups; if you delete the app or lose the device without having connected the data to a family circle, we cannot recover it.

7. Ending your use

• You can stop using Famivana at any time, sign out, or delete your account from within the app (Family → Account). Account deletion is permanent and follows the steps in the Privacy Policy; if you are the only manager of a care recipient or the only owner of a family circle that still has other members, you will be asked first either to hand that role over to another member or to delete that care record or family circle, so others do not lose access. Deleting your Famivana account does not cancel an Apple subscription.
• We may suspend or end access to the connected service for accounts that violate these terms, threaten the security of other users' data, or where required by law. Where reasonably possible we will tell you why.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep Famivana available and correct, and we may change, add or remove features. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app, and the effective date at the top will be updated. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
